Firstly, to those that do not know yet, I was down with H.Pylori which severely inflamed my stomach linings, causing injury and pain when the unprotected area of my stomach wall come in contact with gastric juice. Which explained the absence of blog entries. I was totally in pain 4-5 times a day for 3 weeks. Been admitted to hospital for 3 days, all scans and test came out clear. So it's just a matter of time and medication for it to heal and for me to recover. Going into the 4th week, the pain is not so frequent anymore, and it's controllable (i.e. pain only came if I ate the wrong food, or got too hungry), and I managed my first run after 3 weeks absent from it. It totally felt great! Doing some light exercise slowly to gain back my fitness (and I lost 2KG over this period of time, which is not a good method to loose weight). As of this writing, I'm doing great, just some minor cramps at times, and as long as I keep my diet strict to bland and low acidic, low protein food, I will be good for Chinese New Year FEAST!
Before everything else, I'd love to say a MILLION thanks again to my owh-ever-so-lovely colleagues for giving me a surprise birthday "mini-party" with a mini-cake, and mini-candle! <3 them lots!

So, 30th December 2011 was my 24th Birthday. Over my last 23 years, I don't really celebrate my birthday, especially not before 17 y/o (my childhood years doesn't count, when I'm owh-so-cute =p). After 17 y/o, it was some occasional cake and presents, which made me happier than ever since I'm not used to birthday celebrations, nor cakes, neither presents, hence no expectations prior...
On that day itself, I was "booked" a day before by my girl, to meet her right after my working hours. As far as I knew, she was on leave that day, and I wasn't suppose to know. Not until she carelessly posted something on FB (which she wouldn't be able to if she's at work) *CAUGHT RED HANDED*.

Surprisingly, thanks to one of my colleague's persuasion, our manager let us off 1 hour earlier from work! I quickly sms-ed my girl to tell her the great news! (Coz I can't wait to see what her surprise were!). For all I know, since morning, she was rushing from KJ-Segambut-KLCC-Midvalley-KJ...for who knows what XD...and she wasn't in a good mood either due to stupid public transports, and never-ending disruption of her plan due to it, and ME! (because I seem to guess a few of the surprises she was gonna give, with/without me knowing, and also show less interest in few of it, unknowingly it's gonna be my present XD). Plus that 1 hour early release from work, it further disrupted her plan (which I only knew later when we met). I was asked to proceed to Midvalley.
One hour later...
*sms flashes* "Dear Mr. Nicholas, please come to the center court's Christmas Tree to collect your first b'day present. No replacement for it if you're late, or that the present has been stolen"
At that moment for all I know, this is so gonna be one great b'day-prez-hunt.LOL.
Two minutes later after rushing down from top floor (I was shopping for shoes) to G floor center court, I saw a somewhat-my girl-looking-girl sitting at the middle of the concourse event area, under that big Christmas Tree, with what seem like 2 big and heavy bags, massaging her legs.

It was a B'day Kiss, and just a B'day KISS!  I never doubted a single minute on her creativity on planning surprises... but what she did, amazed me much! Really a zillion thanks to her planning, though I put her in much desperate, and challenging situations, intentionally or not. But that was fun right? XD All the last minute changes and adaptations to be made. LOL. At the end of the day, she's happy, I'm happy, that's the only thing that mattered. To those reading this, DO NOT BE JELES Your time will come soon...I hope =p THANKS AGAIN FOR THOSE AWESOME-TASTIC B'DAY SURPRISES TO ALL WHO LOVED ME, AND TO MY GIRL! |
